A Good Online Course On How To Play Sudoku

After playing Sudoku for some time, I realized that in order to improve my skills in the game, I needed to learn some Sudoku strategies - strategies like the X-wing, Swordfish and others... because otherwise it is really difficult to solve the more advanced puzzles quickly. But honestly, as I mentioned previously, it’s really difficult to learn these strategies just by reading about it so I started searching for some courses that will teach how to play Sudoku via videos.

At first I tried learning the strategies from online videos on YouTube but most of the videos I managed to find covered only the basics.  After searching for some time I found this online course that has videos that teach these strategies in a step-by-step manner.  Although it’s not free… the course does pack a wealth of knowledge because the creator of this online course (Melvin Perry) shows how he solves complete Sudoku puzzles from the beginning to the end in a step-by-step manner and he explains the reason for the answers each step of the way.  This is something which I cannot find in any of the free online videos about Sudoku on YouTube.  (By the way, he also has a free email newsletter that provides some good basic information on Sudoku.)

Actually, just by observing how he solves the puzzles helped me understand the correct method to approach Sudoku puzzles from the simple ones to the difficult ones so that I can find the solution in as short a time as possible.  I think this is one of the most valuable takeaways that I gained from going through this course.

I also realised that to learn how to play Sudoku really well, it is important to 1.Master the basic skills, 2.Learn the advanced strategies and 3.Be able to recognise when and at which point the basic skills or the advanced strategies should be applied to solve the game. I personally feel that this Sudoku course does a pretty good job in teaching these 3 things. So do check out the course if you want to master Sudoku as quickly as possible and happy Sudokuing :-)
